TD-50X System Program ( Ver.1.30 )

如何了解当前系统版本
更新程序因当前使用的版本而异。开始之前，请检查 TD-50X 的系统程序版本。
  1. 按 [SETUP] 键调用设置屏幕。
  2. 使用 PAGE [UP] 和 [DOWN] 按钮进入 INFO 图标所在的页面（SETUP MENU 2）。
  3. 按 [F3] 按钮选择 INFO 图标。
  4. 当前版本将显示在显示屏上 ("Program Version")。
    * 如果显示的信息不是程序版本，请按下 [F1] 按钮（程序）。
  5. 按 [EXIT] 按钮返回 DRUM KIT 屏幕。

*如果产品已是最新版本，请勿执行更新。

  • TD-50X
  • SD Card formatted on the TD-50X
GETTING THE UPDATE FILE
Download td50x_sys_v130.zip.
The downloaded file is an archive in zip format. After downloading it, expand the file.
After expanding the file, the folder "td50x_sys_v130" holding the file "TD50X_UPA.BIN" will appear.
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
  • Never apply this update data to any product other than the TD-50X. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
  • Never power-off your TD-50X while the update is in progress!
    If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the TD-50X won’t be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs.
  • We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.
BACKING UP TO SD CARD
--- Before updating, carry out a data backup. ---
  1. Turn on TD-50X.
  2. Insert the SD Card into the TD-50X's SD card slot.
  3. Press the [SD CARD] button.
  4. Use the PAGE [UP] [DOWN] buttons to access the SD CARD BACKUP ALL screen.
  5. Press the [F1] (SAVE) button.
    The SD CARD SAVE <BACKUP ALL> screen appears.
  6. Move the cursor to "With User Sample" and insert a check mark.
  7. Move the cursor to "Bank Number" and choose a backup number for saving the settings.
  8. Press the [F5] (SAVE) button.
  9. Press the [F5] (EXECUTE) button.
  10. Select "OK" and press the [ENTER] button.
    The settings are saved in the SD card.
HOW TO UPDATE
Creating the Update SD Card
  1. Copy the TD50X_UPA.BIN file from within the td50x_sys_v130 folder to the root directory on the [TD-50X formatted] SD card.
    * Don't simply copy the "td50x_sys_v130" folder itself.
  2. Disconnect the SD Card from your computer as follows.
    [Windows]
    Use the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows task tray to un-mount the SD Card. And then disconnect the SD Card from your computer.
    [Mac]
    Drag the Drive icon of the SD Card into the trash in the dock. And then remove the SD Card from your computer.
 
Update Procedure
  1. Insert the SD Card into the TD-50X's SD card slot.
  2. Power on while holding the Song Record button [•].
  3. When " === update === " appears at the top left of the display, you can release the Song Record button.
  4. " = update finished.= " appears in the display when the update process is complete.
  5. Turn off the power and then eject the SD card from the TD-50X.
  6. Detach the SD Card, then turn the TD-50X on and verify that the version has been updated.
RESTORING THE FACTORY SETTINGS
  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Use the PAGE [UP] [DOWN] buttons to access the SETUP MENU 3 screen.
  3. Press the [F1] (FACTORY RESET) button.
  4. Move the cursor to "Reset with User Sample" and insert a check mark.
  5. Press the [F5] (FACTORY RESET) button.
  6. Select "OK" and press the [ENTER] button.
    The "Factory Reset" operation will be executed.
LOADING BACKUP DATA FROM AN SD CARD
  1. Turn on TD-50X.
  2. Insert the SD Card into the TD-50X's SD card slot.
  3. Press the [SD CARD] button.
  4. Use the PAGE [UP] [DOWN] buttons to access the SD CARD BACKUP ALL screen.
  5. Press the [F2] (LOAD) button.
    The SD CARD LOAD <BACKUP ALL> screen appears.
  6. Move the cursor to "With User Sample" and insert a check mark.
  7. Move the cursor to "Bank Number" and choose the backup number for importing the settings.
  8. Press the [F5] (LOAD) button.
  9. Select "OK" and press the [ENTER] button.
    The backup data is loaded from the SD card.

    * Data backed up using a TD-50X at version 1.10 or later cannot be loaded into a TD-50X at earlier than version 1.10.
    * In case of 1 kit backup data, it can be loaded by TD-50X at earlier than version 1.10.
