GO:KEYS 5/GO:KEYS 3 System Program (Ver.1.11)
How to know the version
Before you start, check the system program version of your GO:KEYS.
- Press the [menu] button.
- Select "Information" and press the [enter] button.
- The version information is displayed.
If this shows the latest version (version 1.11 or later), there's no need to update your GO:KEYS. - Press the [exit] button.

The following bugs have been fixed.
- When switching tones in Bank Mode on the TOP screen, the Bank changes to an unexpected one.
- Songs fail to play.
- When the keyboard is in Split Mode and Transpose is enabled, the chord recognition range of the arranger is incorrect.
- Depending on the Chord Sequencer settings, the Intro/Ending button may be disabled during Chord Sequencer operation.
- When a song is recorded up to the maximum recording time, the created audio file is not displayed.
- Other minor bugs.

Additional Functions
- A function to select tones in the order of the bank list has been added to the home screen.
- A shortcut to the Local Ctrl parameter has been added.
(You can make this setting by turning the encoder while holding down the [home], [exit] and [enter] buttons at the same time.) - The Optimize function has been added to the Wave Expansion screen.

- The issue with the MIDI song becomes shorter when renaming a MIDI song has been fixed.

What you will need to update your GO:KEYS
- GO:KEYS
- USB flash drive
* The USB flash drive needs to be formatted on a GO:KEYS or formatted to FAT32 or MS-DOS(FAT) on a computer in advance. - A computer with a USB connector (Windows, Mac)
- Update file downloaded from this page
Cautions with the update
- We recommend that you save your user data to a USB flash drive before you perform the update. If a problem occurs and your user data is lost, you will be able to restore the original state by reloading the data you saved. For details on the procedure, refer to the following sections of the Owner's Manual.

- Never power-off your GO:KEYS while the update is in progress!
If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, they won't be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs. - We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.
Getting the update file
It is an archive file in zip format, please double click on the file to expand. After expanding the file, the folder "gokeys_sys_v111" holding the file "R084_UPA.BIN" will be appeared.
Procedure for the update
Creating the Update USB flash drive
Copy update file R084_UPA.BIN to the root directory of a USB flash drive.
Update Procedure
- Connect the USB flash drive to the USB memory port on the instrument.
- On the GO:KEYS 5, hold down the [mic] button and turn on the unit.
On the GO:KEYS 3, hold down the [Bluetooth] button and turn on the unit. - The message " ===update=== " appears on the display, and the update operation starts.
* Continue to hold down the [mic] or [Bluetooth] button until " ===update=== " appears on the display. - When the message " =update finished.= " appears, the update operation is complete.
* The update operation takes about 5 minutes. - Press and hold the power button to turn off the power.
Detach the USB flash drive from the instrument.
